Full text: Cisco invites applications for its global problem solver challenge. This recognizes new business ideas that leverage technology for social impact by student entrepreneurs. Students and recent alumni from any college or university may apply. Applicants may be current students or those who have graduated after 1 March 2018, teams up to five individuals comprising at least 50 per cent of current students, or recent graduates or businesses which are at least 25 per cent owned by current students or recent graduates. The total budget is USD 300,000. The following prizes are available one grand prize – worth USD 100,000; •one first runner-up – worth USD 75,000; •three second runners-up – worth USD 25,000 each; •four third runners-up – worth USD 10,000 each; •one people’s choice award – worth USD 10,000.
